Dr. Brown is the Jean and David W. Wallace Dean of the Yale School of Medicine and the C.N.H. Long Professor of Internal Medicine. Throughout her accomplished career at both Vanderbilt University and now the Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Brown has been an advocate for physician-scientists. In her own research endeavors, she has published prolifically on how medications for hypertension and diabetes affect the risk for cardiovascular and renal disease, while also working clinically with patients suffering from secondary and resistant hypertension. Dr. Brown will share her reflections on leadership and the importance and future of academic medical centers. We are excited to host her and hope you will join us for her talk, “Reflections of a Physician-Scientist”.
