What disparities exist within our current medical education system? Does bias exist within the AOA selection process? Are biased letters of recommendation having long term impacts on the success of our learners? How can we overcome these disparities to ensure a diverse and vibrant learning community? Join us as our master clinician and educator, Dr. Melissa McNeil, and PGY3 Med-Peds resident, Dr. Dedeepya Konuthula, examine educational disparities and offer strategies for overcoming them.

Reasons for Facial Masking for COVID-19: Transmission, Severity of Disease and Immunity

Why are we masking? Are face masks increasing rates of asymptomatic infection? Is asymptomatic infection able to provide immunity?
Join our Grand Rounds Sept. 15 to hear from Dr. Monica Gandhi from UCSF on the importance of masking and its impact on asymptomatic infection rates as well as from Dr. Bryan McVerry who will summarize the REMAP trial and our REMAP protocol and Dr. David Nace who will summarize our SNF strategy, outcomes and implementation of state grant funding.
