This session, we feature an exciting speaker, Dr. Christine Ritchie, to hear about an intersection of two of her specific clinical interests, geriatric medicine and palliative care. Dementia is now estimated to affect five million adults older than 65 years of age, with a predicted tripling of that number within the next 4 decades, clearly indicating that developing optimal practice patterns for this patient population is of the utmost importance.
